The Children’s Fund Program, founded in 1973, as a grassroots effort by social workers to assist foster and low-income children in San Mateo County access goods and service that are not available through public funds. Every year over 4,500 children and youth, newborn to age 18, receive resources from our program.
The Children’s Fund relies on the kindness of businesses and individuals to provide for the children of our county. Our programs offer children items such as backpacks filled with school supplies, Halloween costumes, holiday gifts, and so much more.
Our 2019 "Holiday Gift Program" is now in full swing!
This is our largest program and serves approximately 3,500 children each holiday season. In many cases, the gifts we provide are the only ones that the child receives. The Children’s Fund Holiday Gift Program puts smiles on thousands of children’s faces each holiday season.
Make a monetary donation so we can use it to fill a child’s wish. Take several gift tags with individual child’s wishes on them. This a great project for your office, community group, place of worship, or for your friends and neighbors. You can even order items and have them shipped directly to Children's Fund Holiday Gift Program from our Amazon Wish list. Just visit: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2DVEQFQANA14H?ref_=wl_share
