The Children’s Fund Program, founded in 1973, as a grassroots effort by social workers to assist foster and low-income children in San Mateo County access goods and service that are not available through public funds. Every year over 4,500 children and youth, newborn to age 18, receive resources from our program.
The Children’s Fund relies on the kindness of businesses and individuals to provide for the children of our county. Our programs offer children items such as backpacks filled with school supplies, Halloween costumes, holiday gifts, and so much more.
Our 2019 "Backpack For Kids" program has closed for the season. What a great sucess it was this year. Thank you to all who donated!
We are currently cleaning up our warehouse getting ready for our next drive, Halloween "Costumes for Kids."
This program distributes new or gently used Halloween costumes to low-income and foster youth in San Mateo County. We rely on community donations to serve the children and are so greatful for your help. Please check back for more information as to how you can help out with the drive!
A little ghost, angel, or superhero will appreciate your generosity!
