Baby Clothes for Low-Income Families
Bundles for Babies
The Children's Fund program distributes baby clothes to low-income mothers throughout the county. We collect baby clothes from the community and have them available for case managers to pick up for their clients. We serve hundreds of families each year and provide new clothing items to newborn to 6 year old children.
Stephanie is a homeless mother who is due in three weeks with her first baby- a girl. She is living in her van while she awaits an opening in a shelter, but currently has no items for her baby. Bundles for Babies provided handmade blankets (donated by quilters at a local church!) and clothes to Stephanie so that her daughter will start her life with the things she needs.
Kaitlyn has two children—two month old William and four year old Stacia. She recently escaped a domestic violence situation and is residing with a friend. Because they left suddenly and she does not currently have a job, Kaitlyn has very few items for her children. She is being served by the County’s Pre-to-Three health program and her case manager called the Children’s Fund and picked up dozens of clothes, books, and blankets for the children. Theodora was incredibly grateful.
How to apply:
This is a year-round program and case managers may contact the Children’s Fund at any time to schedule an appointment to pick up items. Please contact us to request a program form. Items are based on availability.
How to help:
See our Donation Page. We accept diapers (any size, any brand! partially-opened packages or individual diapers are fine!), wipes (unopened containers), and New clothing in sizes newborn through 6T.
We do not accept any baby “gear” (no strollers, car seats, etc). We also need volunteers to help us organize, sort and package the donations! Visit our volunteer page for more info.
